As a Team Leader, you are an important focal point for guiding decision making in district offices, and a valued part of leadership teams throughout the state.  With offices throughout Western Australia, you will have an opportunity to diversify your skill base by working in different district offices in both metropolitan and country locations.  

Team Leaders may wish to specialise their skill sets by transferring to positions in adoptions, fostering or crisis care; or may consider a move to become a Senior Practice Development Officer, based in district offices.   With their advanced skill base, some Team Leaders move into positions at the Learning and Development Centre, or developing Department wide policy and practice in head office.

Country WA offers more frequent opportunities to access higher level positions than metropolitan locations - in both acting and permanent capacities, such as an Assistant District Director.   These are advertised regularly and you are encouraged to apply.  View our current vacancies here.
