The Carnarvon office employs about ten people and is one of six offices located in the Mid-West region. They are a small friendly team who prides themselves on being professional, supportive and child focused. A favourite time for the office, is having lunch together using the BBQ on the building’s veranda.
In this role you will provide an invaluable service to the community by utilising your expert child protection skills and knowledge to enhance the safety and well-being of children and other vulnerable people.
Duties of this role include:
- Leading child welfare and safety assessments and investigations on behalf of the Department.
- Providing services to children placed in the care of the CEO.
- Taking legal action where necessary.
- Providing advice and training to other District office staff on matters concerning the care, safety and protection of children.
